How deep can I dive with an underwater camera?
Most Aquapix underwater cameras can dive to a depth of 3m. However, this can vary from model to model, so please check the specifications for each model.
Are underwater cameras difficult to use?
No. Underwater cameras can be used just like any other digital camera. They are very simple and intuitive.
How long is the underwater camera battery life time?
Depending on the model and the settings used, the battery life is up to 90 minutes.
Why does the video recording stop after a while?
The maximum size of a video file is 4GB. When a movie reaches this size, recording is briefly paused and saved.
How can I protect my underwater camera from salt water damage?
The housing of the Aquapix underwater cameras is suitable for use in salt water. However, to keep the camera in prime operating condition it is recommended to rinse the camera with fresh water and dry it with a cloth after use in salt water.
Is it better to buy a underwater camera or to put a normal camera in an underwater housing?
An underwater camera without a housing has the advantage of being quicker to use and easier to operate. You also don’t have to worry about fogging up inside the housing.
However, an additional housing may be necessary if you want to dive into much deeper water. Not every digital camera has a special underwater housing available.
Where can I buy an Aquapix underwater camera?
The Aquapix underwater cameras are available from our online shop.
Are underwater cameras safe for children?
In general, a camera should not be used by children without adult supervision. Because the Aquapix underwater cameras are compact and have a smooth surface, there is no risk of injury to children.
However, children should be old enough and able to operate a normal digital camera to be able to use an underwater camera.
Can I use a waterproof camera out of the water?
An Aquapix underwater camera can be used out of the water just like a normal digital camera.
How can I save and share my photos on my computer or mobile device?
To share your underwater images, you must first transfer them from the memory card to your computer.
There are two ways to do this:
1. The camera is connected to the computer by cable and you can access the memory card.
2. Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it directly into the computer using a suitable adapter (not supplied).
Can I use any memory card?
Each camera has a maximum capacity memory card which is compatible for use.
Please ensure any memory card you use does not exceed the maximum capacity stated for your camera model.
How do I change the memory card?
In most cases, the memory card slot is located in the battery compartment. To change or remove the memory card, you will need to open the battery compartment.
How do I open the battery cover?
The battery compartment has a safety lock that prevents it from being opened in water.
To open the battery compartment, the slide must be operated.
